Bright and early New Year's morning we got babies and Jackson up and around and headed to the farm to celebrate with Clint's family. His oldest brother, Cliff, came down from Oklahoma with his wife Kelli and 3 of their five kids (the oldest two are in college and were working over the break) and his other brother, Cris Lee, and his wife Kristy, drove in also with their 3 kids. Total we had 8 adults and 11 kids in one house celebrating. Talk about chaos, but a good kind!

We usually only get to see Cliff and Kelli once a year (for New Year's) with the occasional summer visit thrown in, so it is always so good to see them. This was the first time they were seeing the babies. With 3 girl cousins in middle school and high school, the babies were hardly put down. Another day of spoiled babies ;) Jackson had his boys to keep him busy too. My kiddos are the youngest of the group by far, but the older ones are always so good and patient with them!
Jackson always loves the farm. He enjoys the animals and there is nothing he likes better than running around outside with older boys (and bossing them around if he can get a away with it). With a new year comes new beginnings everywhere including the farm. They had a brand new baby lamb born on New Year's Day which was very cool (fortunately we did not witness the actual birth) and we got some pictures of the new baby! Jackson got to touch one of the baby lambs (which he thought was awesome!)
Lots of laughter, LOTS of food, lots of people and lots of gifts . . . Always a good time when we get together with the whole family! Though Clint may rethink letting Jackson hang out with his Oklahoma cousins. Kymber was trying to undo the Texas Tech brainwashing that Jackson has received from Clint with a little OU braining washing of her own! Uh oh! I think no permanent damage was done though so maybe we'll let it slide this time!! Actually, we wish we were able to see our Oklahoma clan more often, but schedules are busy and the miles are long . . .

After a very fun day, we returned home and spent January 2 de-Christmasfying our house. Jackson was not too keen on this. When I said we were going to take the tree down, he told me, "No momma, leave the tree up or it won't be Christmas anymore!" I hate to break it to him, but Christmas is over and while it was a great holiday and a wonderful first Christmas season for the babies, I am glad to see it go. I can't wait to do it again next year, but let's face, the holidays are exhausting!!
