The Terrible Two's Quadrupled!!

As always seems to be the case these days, I'm VERY far behind.  I haven't even documented the big 2nd birthday party and we're already a month into the terrible twos (only 10 3/4 months to go, not that I'm counting.)

I do have to say that four 2 year olds, does in fact multiply the attitude level of this 2 year old thing.  The fighting that is occurring at my house these days is monumental.  Imagine four 2 year olds, who all think that EVERYTHING is theirs and who all are willing to fight to the death over it!  No exaggeration!!  But on the flip side, it's also quadruple the fun!  Those little personalities are just blossoming and they are becoming more and more verbal everyday which just adds to the hilarity of the age.  And while they do fight ( A LOT), they also do things for each other and look out for each other.  I guess they are your typical siblings, they are just all in the unreasonable stage at the same time.

So . . . the big birthday party was a huge success!  We had a beach themed party with all kinds of fun in the sun!
The cake . . . it was so fun to make and Jackson "helped" decide where to place some of the sealife.

We had all kinds of fun in the backyard.  First up, the baby pool filled with homemade bubbles, hula hoops to make giant, body encompassing bubbles and cookie cutter and kitchen utensils to blow bubbles.  It was definitely a hit and something I plan to do again next summer just for fun!!

Trapping Jackson in a Bubble

Jackson felt the need to "accessorize" with goggles despite the lack of any real swimming!
Next up on the agenda, "seafoam", otherwise known as a tarp covered in cheap shaving cream!  This was beyond awesome.  We had kids covered in the stuff and it was all over the yard, from one side to the other!  The pictures are priceless!

More Gage!

Aunt Jessica and Kynlee (this is where Kynlee hung out for pretty much the entire party, she was not real into the activities and the messiness)
Westin
He sat right there without moving for a VERY long time!

Then there was the slip 'n' slide.  The big brothers and sisters had a ball, the little one's just splashed around in it a little.  And yes, it was covered in shaving cream before everything was over!

John and Jackson

The fun continued for a good hour or more . . .

Westin

Can we get three kids in a bubble?  Hug tight!

It's not a party unless you shaving cream the slide!

The kids literally flew off the end and would skid on their bottoms for a foot or two.  Those are butt skid marks at the bottom of the slide!  This was hilarious to watch!

John and Jackson
After everyone dried off, it was present time!!  Talk about chaos!  Four 2 years trying to be kept on task, while a whole room full of toddlers "watched."  I'll admit to being a little stressed during this part, but otherwise, I honestly had the best time!

Brooklyn and Kynlee already fighting over a toy (which we got two of, one for each girl, but the colors were different.)

Brooklyn's pretty had and purse that Granna made

Kynlee opening her pretty hat and purse!

The new lego table!

This was an instant hit!

Cake time!  Brooklyn, Westin, Gage and Kynlee and of course big brother Jackson in front!

We had a blast!  We were exhausted when it was over (and a little sad too), but we're definitely looking forward to the year to come (and hoping that year sees a little less food thrown on the floor, of all things, this is what I am most looking forward too!)  Happy Birthday my sweet, sweet babies!
