Gage

Gage (a.k.a. Gager or Gageman), what can I say about him . . . well, he is hysterical.  He's my talker (I always thought it would be one of the girls, though Brooklyn is starting to give him a run for his money.)  He has something to say all the time and he's so darn cute!  He has a smile that just makes you want to run over and hug him!  Gage really only has two modes: silly and sad (as in, you've hurt my feelings because you told me "no")  He gets a little mad once in while, but mostly silly and sad.

Gage Daniel with his trusty blankies!
I LOVE Gage hugs and kisses.  Maybe because he withholds them a little.  You can't get one on command (not often anyway), but he runs and gives these amazing, arms wrapped around you, spontaneous hugs that I can't get enough of.  Sometimes you get them when you're sitting on the floor (these may come at you from the front or back, you never know) and sometimes you get these funny leg hugs when you're standing up.  I get one most days that I come home from work, and it's one of my favorite parts of the day!

2 years old in his Tech shirt.  There's that infamous sad face!
Gage is always saying or doing something silly with a silly expression on his face, while moving his feet in rapid motion in a way I cannot describe, but hope is emblazoned on my memory for all of time (sort of like a crazy back and forth dance, or what I like to call "fast feet").  He doesn't understand gentle, everything is full speed ahead with him.  If he hugs you, it's almost a tackle; if he tickles you, it more like you're being attacked; if he wants to get your attention in a playful way, he's sort of swatting at you!  He is definitely ALL boy (with a touch of oversensitive . . . ).  One of his very favorite things right now is to get up and run the moment you get his diaper off.  He speeds through the house with his hiney hanging out and lets out the the most enchanting giggle while he tries to evade you and the diaper for as long as possible.

Gage's other favorite right now . . . JACKSON.  He will copy almost anything Jackson says or does.  Oh my!!  We had one day recently when I heard almost everything Jackson said in echo from Gage ALL DAY!  He thinks Jackson is hilarious and they are big buddies.  They chase each other through the house and laugh!! Right now, Jackson is very into "knock, knock jokes" and we always do them in the car, so several days ago (when Jackson was not in the car), Gage said "knock, knock."  I of course replied, "Who's there?"  Gage, "apple"  Mommy: "Apple who?"  Gage (in a sing-song, isn't that funny voice) " Apple, Mama."  Then we repeated this exact same sequence with Banana.  This cracked me up!!

He has names for all  his siblings (the only one that calls everyone by name, none of the babies can say "Gage")
Brooklyn is "Da-dee" (yes in stead of calling Clint this, he calls Brooklyn this, Clint is "Na- Nee") and sometimes he calls her "Lot-lot"
Westin is "We-Wee" (with a short "e" sound first, then a long "e")
Kynlee is "Nee-nee"  (he often quite exasperated with her and we hear this name ALOT)
Jackson is "Ya-yen"

Some other favorite Gage words right now:

"Ah-ee Birday" - Happy Birthday
"Owry" - sorry
"wibbit" - ribbit  (this is in reference to is favorite stuffed animal, a colorful tree frog)
"luloo" - love you (which he will say to everyone else, even "wibbit", but not to me.  He's only said it me once!)
"puntnin" -pumpkin

He has so many more that I'm sure are not coming to mind right now.  He is such a character and he sings and dances all the time.  Mom says he looks and acts just like I did at that age.  I don't know, but he sure is funny!!
