I have done a terrible job of recording recent Jacksonisms! I need to improve on this because they are so funny and I don't want to forget any of them! So, here are a few recent favorites I want to remember . . .
In the car recently, as I went to take a drink of my COFFEE, Jackson pipes up from the backseat . . .
"Mommy, you can't drink and drive."
Me - "What!?"
"You can't drink and drive!"
Me - "Why?"
"You will get out of control!"
At the dinner table the other night . . .
"Look, mom, I learned how to twirl my spaghetti! I was going to wait to learn until I got into high school, but that was going to be long time, so I decided to learn now!"
After helping me decide where to hang a picture in my bedroom (and I went with his suggestion). . .
"That looks brilliant!"
When I vetoed where he wanted to hang the candles in MY bedroom . . .
"Well, you need to listen to me because we share this house."
When singing along to the radio the other day (and no this is not a song we frequent, it just happened to come on while on a station that we don't frequent) . . .
"I'm sixty (i.e. sexy) and I know it" (pause) "I know I'm really four, but the song says 'sixty' "
When telling me he loves me lately . . .
"Mommy, I just love you because you're so cute!"
When "reading" me the card he wrote me . . .
"Mommy I love you. You are so sweet and so nice. Someday I will leave, but I will still love you!"
When coming into my room while I'm dressing (and let's face it, after having quads, I have to wear special undergarments for damage control ;-) ) . . .
"Mommy, those are some BIG underwear!" (immediately followed up by . . .) "Why is your tummy still wiggly?" (Ahhh, the honesty of a child, maybe someday he'll understand the badge of honor that is the post-quad tummy . . . or better yet, maybe I'll get a tummy tuck and it will only be a memory ;-)
God Bless this adorable child with his quick wit and 4 year old honesty! Love him so much!! I'm sure there are so many more that I am not thinking of right now, but I will add to the list later!
