Celebrating A Great Man

This week has been a tough one. After battling Alzheimer's and Pancreatic Cancer for quite some time, Clint's Pawpaw is finally at peace with Jesus. He passed away on Saturday, July 9th at the age of 89 (he turned 89 on the 4th of July). I was honored to be a part of the celebration of his life this week as family gathered to say good-bye to a man that they so obviously loved and admired. The slide show made by one of his grandson's summarized a life filled with family, laughter, fun, love and a lot of good memories.

While there is always sadness in the passing of a loved one, there is also great joy in a life well lived. Leroy will be missed by many, but he leaves behind the memories, the lessons, and the love he gave while he lived. God bless him and God bless the family as we try to find comfort in the joys while learning to deal with the sorrow of loss.
