A Visit From Santa

On Christmas Eve, while enjoying the company of some old friends and some good food, Santa surprised us with a visit BEFORE we went to bed. He dropped off Christmas Pajamas for the adults (me, my brother, sisters and Clint) and a Santa Claus board game for Jackson (he and the babies already had Christmas pajamas) along with a Night Before Christmas book that was for all the kiddos! It was so much fun. Santa was in an extra jolly and somewhat silly mood.

We did learn from his visit, that Santa really does “lay a finger aside of his nose and give a nod” before he takes off :)

Prior to Santa’s arrival, Jackson and Clint had been discussing what Santa would leave when he came to Granna’s house. Clint of course told him that Santa leaves a very special present which made Jackson very excited. After Santa left, Jackson looked around and said, “Where is my special present?” We laughed then explained that it was bedtime if we were going to get the “special present.” Maybe Santa will come for a special visit again next year!
