Hacker Family Christmas

Before leaving on our first big adventure, we had Christmas at our house, just the seven of us (and Aunt Kiki, since she was helping us get out the door to Granna’s after our Christmas extravaganza).

My five gifts!

Santa filled our stockings and all the presents under the tree were opened with much excitement. Jackson wanted to stop and play with each new thing he opened and we had to convince him to keep going. He helped open the gifts for the babies too. He even wanted to stop and play with the baby race track for the boys, but oddly enough he was not too interested in the tea party set for the girlsJ He decided he would teach the boys to use the race track later, but he would not play with the “girl toy”

Since Jackson has a million toys (or at least it seems that way to his mother), we went with some different kinds of things this year. He did get an aircraft carrier that stores his matchbox airplanes (which he loves), but my personal favorite was the book on making paper airplanes. He always wants people to make him paper airplanes and I thought this would be a fun activity for him and Clint and they can make several different kinds. Other things on the list: Wee Sing Bible Songs CD, Toy Story 3 (with Buzz action figure) and Chutes and Ladders.

The babies had a smaller Christmas this year. We don’t need a lot of baby toys, but still they needed something. Santa left one small toy in each stocking. My favorite was a bubble machine for the bathtub! Then of course the above mentioned race track and tea party set and last but not least, and my very favorite: the stuffed animal stacker toy. Not only is it totally cute, but they can throw the pieces at each other and it won’t hurt!! Always a plus when you will soon have four little people that don’t understand why they shouldn’t throw and will often be within throwing distance of each other! Westin and Gage with their gifts

A great Christmas for all. In the midst of the present opening we talked about Jesus’ birthday and why we get presents. Jackson is still convinced that Jesus ame to save us from dragons and Megatron, but it’s a start! Now onto the rest of the holiday season!Merry Christmas from The Hacker's (yes, my face is blurred out.
