I actually laughed out loud and had to cover my mouth so I wouldn't wake him from his "trapped" slumber. Good night to everyone and I hope you sleep as soundly as this little guy tonight! ;)

Trapping
Jackson has been obsessed lately with arranging and rearranging his pillows before he goes to sleep. I feel certain that this is a procrastination technique rather than a necessary function before sleep, but who am I to judge what is necessary in order for a 3 year old to fall asleep?! Quite often he refers to his pillow arranging mania as "trapping", as in, "Momma, we have to trap us with the pillows." This entails placing the pillows in such a manner that we are lying on the inside while the pillows line the outside of the bed I guess creating a trap or barrier if you will. However, it seems that tonight, Jackson has perfected the art of pillow "trapping" and it appears that this new technique creates a very cozy cocoon. The following picture illustrates how I found him asleep tonight when I went in to check on him and close his bedroom door:

Aww, I bet he feels very safe in there! And alone, which is probably at a premium these days. ;) Hope those babies let you get some sleep!
