Baby Steps

If you deduced from the title of this post that it was about a baby's first steps, then you're . . . RIGHT!

Last Wednesday (Aug 24) Gage took 2 steps 2 times!!! I know, I know, I'm surprised it was Gage who took the first steps too. Clint and I both thought he would be one of the last two to get upright mobility, but it looks like we were wrong! I was starting to wonder if he would be my first when earlier that week I saw him let go and take a flying, unsteady and uncoordinated one step leap on several occasions and sure enough on Wednesday, he masted a couple of steady steps! On Thursday, he took 1 or 2 steps from the ottoman to Kiki over and over again, but by the time we got the video camera out it was over and he hasn't done it much since, so no video or pictures yet, but I'm working on it. He won't take steps to me. He gets too excited to get to me and just collapses to the floor to come as fast as he can. Looking forward to this next phase, but trying to soak up as much baby crawling with the little hineys wiggling along as I can while it lasts!!
