Snow Days

I posted a glimpse of our first snow day, but we had two more after that and boy did we have fun. Both Wednesday and Thursday were filled with more snow (though Thursday's snow was wimpy in comparison). Wednesday, Jackson and I had an especially fun day. We ignored all responsibilities (except those required for care of the babies) and we had a blast. Here is our second snow day in pictures: Wednesday, Feb 2

It was a pancake morning! As usual I had my pancake cooker helper (more like my raw batter eater, but whatever :)

Jackson and the snowman pancake in honor of the snow day! Next request, a T-Rex!!!
Hmmm . . .

The T-Rex! If you want to see some pancakes that are actually cool, check out Jim's Pancakes, you won't be disappointed. After this pancake, I convinced him that the rest should be "snowballs" (what will I do when tricks like that don't work anymore?)

Time to eat our fancy pancakes!

I don't remember why I got this look, but I get it from him a lot!

Busted out the tent and tunnel (I actually had to feed Westin in the tent with Jackson, that I barely fit in myself)

Not sure Brooklyn is enjoying snuggle time!

All my boys: Westin, Jackson, Gage - snuggling (Jackson told me he thought he should hold 3 babies, momma said no!)

Snow Angels!! Jackson would jump up and land on his butt, then lay down and make an angel. We spent another 45 minutes in the snow. We had the best snowball fight too, Jackson would collapse into the snow like he'd been knocked over every time a snowball hit him. It cracked me up.

Talking to Granna on the phone. Jackson insisted on holding the phone with his shoulder for the entire 20 minute conversation, "just like mommy does"

Granna, we put a face on the back of our snow monster. This is the view from our kitchen window. Now he can look at Jackson when Jackson yells at him :)

Mamaw, this one's for you: Clifford Jr and Clifford Jr Jr in front of the fire getting warm. I don't know whether to laugh or be frightened :)

In addition to all this fun, we also made pumpkin crisp and homemade chicken noodle soup! Yum - yum!

Of course after we played hard all day and my house was a wreck, the realtor called to say that he had a couple he wanted to show the house to the next day!! (I knew this would happen). So, Thursday, I sent Jackson to daycare while I frantically got the house back in order (by the way, it looked fabulous when I was done). I did get an opportunity for a little me time on Thursday too, thanks to a my amazing sister, Kristen, who after driving Jackson to daycare, drove to school, only to find out that her one class had been canceled, so she drove all the way back across town and called me to find out if I might want to get out of the house to go work out since she didn't have to be at work for another 3 hours. She is sooooo wonderful. On top of that, she folded my laundry and made my beds because she knew I was trying to get ready to show the house! Sometimes I don't know what I would do without the amazing family that swoops in at just the right time! (Earlier this week, my sister Jessica, called to take Jackson to the park for a little playtime. Seriously, they are wonderful.) Anyway, we spent the evening at Jessica and Kristen's house while ours was being shown and when we came back, we put babies to bed and Jackson, Clint and I made smores by the fire!! Perfect ending to a 3 day snow streak!
