Jackson seems to be transforming from a preschooler into a young man right before my eyes. In April, we registered him for Kindergarten (which admittedly had me in tears) and he seems to be growing up so fast since then. He is in constant search of new knowledge, new skills and new experiences. I'm so proud of his drive and persistence to learn and grow in so many ways.
His most recent accomplishment is riding his bike without any training wheels. Clint wasn't sure he was ready, but I was pretty sure he was, so Monday night Clint set out to the garage, took the training wheels off and we were ready to give it a go. Clint and I braced ourselves for the inevitable wipe out that was bound to occur bringing tears and scrapes with it.

Clint ran behind him for just a brief few seconds and then Jackson took off. After 2 or 3 short runs, he just kept going and left Clint in the dust! He looked like a pro in 5 minutes time! Once he got the hang of riding, Clint taught him to push off on his own and he was a natural at that too. By the time we went inside that night, he was turning, pushing off, stopping and taking his feet off the pedals to coast. The next night, he was jumping down curbs and riding standing up! He begs to go out and ride his bike every evening. He loves it!

Such a big milestone in the life of a child! Now he's asking me when he will be big enough to "ride my bike around town." Seriously, what am I going to do with this precious, independent kiddo! Love him!
