5 Little Firecrackers: Addendum

Clint pointed out that before we went to the lake, we spent a couple of days in Dallas, which is where our family vacation REALLY began.

Clint and I got to go to a Ranger's game with Jessica and Brian, where we not only enjoyed the game, but also got to witness several people around us actually eat and finish the new 2 foot hot dog they serve at the stadium.  And, yes, more than one person sitting near us purchased and devoured one of these.  It makes me a little nauseous to even think about it!  After the game, Reckless Kelly performed on the field, so we stayed for the concert.

We also took the kids to a waterpark called Hawaiian Falls before heading to the lake.  Jackson was a little nervous about the slides.  He was so excited on the way there, but then got scared when it became a reality.  Once we got him on a couple, he had a great time, but it took some convincing (maybe if we had let him maintain the fear, he wouldn't have felt the need to cliff jump and speed!)  His favorite was the wave pool!

The tiny people, as always, had mixed emotions regarding the water park.  Kynlee loved the lazy river by the end of the day, but not until the VERY end.  She did not like going under any kind of waterfall.  Gage and Westin thought the waterfalls and water fountains shooting out of ground were the coolest things EVER!  It took Westin a little longer to warm up than Gage, but once he did, he had a great time!  Brooklyn, as always,. was my daredevil.  They had a small water slide that she could go down and she did . . . over and over and over, without any fear!  It was a lot of fun, but we took home some tired kids!  I have no pictures of the waterpark because we were to busy playing to take pictures!
